Concessional Registration(Club Rego)

ACT Historic Number Plate

ACT Historic Number Plate

The ACT Road Traffic Authority and motoring clubs together administer the Concessional Registration Scheme (CRS). For that purpose our Club is affiliated with the Council of ACT Motor Clubs Inc. Briefly, if you are a Club Member and your car is at least 30 years old, you could be eligible for a Concessional Registration. There are conditions: you must use the car only for club events, or on periodic runs to maintain your vehicle in roadworthy condition. You cannot clock up more than 3000 km per, so that your Comprehensive Insurance will also be much reduced. You must keep a log book and record every trip you make. You must show your logbook to any authorised person, e.g. the Club Registrar, an RTA (or interstate equivalent) Inspector, or Police, on demand. If you use the vehicle contrary to these conditions, your Concessional Registration is void, and you must have a normal full registration if you use your vehicle on public roads. If you need more information on the CRS, see the Council’s website, or talk to David Williams, our Club’s Club Plate Registrar.
