2018 Concours D’Élégance, Show and Shine and Pre-Concours dinner
This year’s Concours d’Élégance and Show and Shine will take place on Sunday 23 September at Pialligo Estate, 18 Kallaroo Rd, Pialligo ACT. The event will be held with other ACT German car clubs in conjunction with the German Auto Day. The rules for the day are in the August/September edition of the club’s magazine StarACT and can also be found on the club’s website http://act.mercedes-benz-clubs.com. This notice and the entry form are available on the website as well.
Registration and payment before the deadline of Saturday 8 September will be required only if you enter a car into the Concours Division. The cost is $40 for Mercedes-Benz club members with a reduction available for early-bird entrants (see the Rules document referred to above) and $50 for non-Mercedes-Benz club members. If you intend to enter your car into the Show and Shine Division, the cost is $10 for Mercedes-Benz club members and $15 for non-Mercedes-Benz club members. Registration and payment for the Show and Shine will take place on Concours day at Pialligo Estate.
A pre-Concours dinner will be held in the Garden Pavilions at Pialligo Estate on Saturday 22 September commencing at 6:30pm. For the first time, it will be held in conjunction with the other German car clubs involved in the German Auto Day. The dinner, costing $49 per person, will consist of a range of the famous Pialligo Estate delicacies as well as a complementary glass of wine. Further drinks will be at your own cost. If you intend to come to the dinner you will need to complete the relevant portion of the Concours entry and dinner booking form, make the payment and send in the form by email or by post so it is received by the deadline, Saturday 8 September.
The Concours entry and dinner booking form is printed on the reverse of the address label of the August/September edition of the club magazine, StarACT. The form is also available on the club’s website. Please be sure to include your email address on the form. We will confirm your Concours entry and/or dinner booking only by email.
For our interstate visitors, hotel accommodation has been arranged at the favourable rate of $165 for either a double or twin room at the Diplomat Hotel, 2 Hely St, Griffith ACT 2603, tel. (02) 6295 2277. You should quote Block Code: OB002 as you make your booking to be sure you get the discounted rate. Breakfast is available for $20 per person. Bookings must be made by 25 August

Every second month we bring you an update of excerpts from the club’s magazine, STAR ACT, which is distributed to club members every two months. Of course, to get all the juicy news, you will need to refer to your own copy of this excellent publication.
In 2016 our club celebrated its 40th Anniversary, so we have a proud history of the club as well as being proud of our association with Mercedes-Benz, the world’s longest continuous car manufacturer. We have included a brief history of the club in our "About Us" page. The Club is an incorporated association and is an officially endorsed member of Mercedes-Benz Classic Management in Stuttgart, Germany which promotes and assists a community of over 70 Mercedes-Benz clubs around the world. We are also affiliated with the Council of ACT Motor Clubs.
